Ambassador Micha Lawrence is a Keeper of Earth and an Adept of the 9th order. She’d like to retire. She can’t. The High Council has called her for a dangerous new assignment. She and her team must go to distant Ka’len near the Hyades Cluster to get a treaty and find out what the invading Olmeri are doing.
The night before she is to leave, President Smbarak calls to tell her they have just received more reports of Olmeri activity. Their discussion reveals the situation and their close friendship. The next morning, N’amani, the Ambassador’s chief of staff, calls to let her know he got all the supplies she wanted. She remembers the day President Smbarak assigned N’amani and their first mission together.
So begins the story.
The Ambassador takes place in a world where integrity and honor matter, trust is earned, wits matter more than firepower, friends are the best, everybody gets a seat at the table, and the good guys win most of the time. It crosses generations and cultures, East and West. It’s a hopeful story that reminds us of a time which never existed and a future we can only dream about.
The story spans eight books that begin in the Ambassador’s present, go back 30 years, and return to her present before moving forward.
It’s a fun, family-friendly, martial arts adventure in space.
The stories are human stories. They are out in space on different planets. But the situations they find themselves in and the conversations they have are not really that much different that some we might have today. It’s about who we are and how we grow. It’s about taking care of each other and good friends, the ones who show up no matter what. The friends we’d all like to have. It’s also about generations, how we learn, how we pass on what we have learned, and what we leave behind.
