Where we live – and where we build – all matter. Not taking into account the climate, risks, and potential for loss has been the approach. It’s more about who can take ownership of the land and get the permits to build. Actual ownership is not needed. The development can be state-sponsored for public benefit. It’s still destructive to the environment and puts whole ecosystems at risk.
